Photoshoot at Santa Barabara

Founder's Blog:

Another afternoon set out for filming and photographing some new SEAVAL BeachStyle products at the Santa Barbara Plantation.

The sky was clear and the time was right, so I picked The Team up from school and we headed over to the Santa Barbara Plantation to photograph some new products! We were surprised at the gate when they told us the plantation was closed to locals for the week(end) because it was full of famous artists for this weekend's North Sea Jazz Festival. Luckily, it's a small island and we knew someone on the inside.

It was a very nice day for a photoshoot and we played around various landscapes according to the products we were featuring. We also got some great video of longboarding sessions that i'm looking forward to checking out and posting soon!

Here we have Kaj, one of our Team Windsurfers, chilling in a tree on a gold course. Whatever it means, the scene just looks chill, and along with action sports, that's what these guys are all about.

I know we have some very talented team members but Felix continues to surprise me with his insanity. As we were filming a rider pass by the camera on a longboard I yelled to Felix to do a backflip, to my surprise, he just did it right there and then, and we got it on tape!
It was nice to see the riders innovate on the shots we could take. The image above was Kaj's idea after he saw Felix do a back flip, he thought it would be a funny scene with our iconic Table Mountain in the back and his illusion of floating in mid-air.

The shoot was a lot of fun and we made it across many miles of great spots for both video and photography.
I quickly grabbed these images from our files, but still have tons to go through. I'm looking forward to it!
